Great idea ЁЯТп. We will get another train for Secunderabad via Bidar and Latur, and it will take around 13 hours time. My suggestion is extend upto Lingampalli as the Secunderabad platform availability is tough or can start from Charlapalli new railway terminal.

Currently upto Bidar it is taking 12 hours and by extending and cutting down slack time given, the train can reach Lingampalli in 13 hours.

The production has been upgraded by introducing new SL and GS coaches, which is a very good step for augmenting with these coaches in 2500 trains as per recent Railway Board decision. The 3E coaches are required to replace existing ICF rakes running all over India with LHB coaches.

Around 100 VB rakes are required to bring down wait list levels of intercity travel of around 600 km and this will definitely bring down pressure on long distance trains. I do hope adding around 5 lakh GS and 1 lakh SL

berths, apart from around 1 lakh VB seats in this year production will bring 90 percent relief to IR booking and waitlist reduction.

Amrit Bharat coaches of around 1100 will help introducing around 50 to 60 rakes in this year.

From old ICF 12 coaches * 72 berths = 864 total berths in old Garibrath. Now 20 coaches of 3E type will give 20 * 80 = 1600 berths. This is almost adding 736 additional berths, bi-weekly so that is almost adding two new Garib raths in the route. IR can easily replicate this by converting 12/15 coach long distance trains into 20/22 coach LHB 3E rakes and add berths to the same route without introducing new trains and overcome finding new slots.

I agree that all Garib Rath and Duronto express

can be made 20 coach rakes and run on daily basis, rather than weekly / bi weekly basis. This will bring down the wait list status on few important routes.

Agree
Indian railways can run two daily trains between Mumbai and Bangalore without any survey and can make it a AC express with 16 hours journey between thewe two cities. No need to stop at 34 intermediate stations like Udyan or CBE LTT express and kill the interest in the intercity travellers. The Railways has a knack to introduce trains where demand is not there

IR really on a mission to replace Shatabdi it seems.
Summary : 9 VBs are ready to roll including two 20 Car VB trains which remains unallocated to any zones until now.

This is a worst policy decision to replace shatabdhi trains with 20 coach VB rakes. The VB have to add much needed AC chaircar seats than replace. This is a classical mistake of replacing ICF coach rakes by LHB coaches and say we achieved a lot. It is a retrograde step by Indian Railways. Let Shatabdhi express run and they can even be replaced with new coaches of LHB rakes rather than replacing with VB rakes. It is basically not acknowledging that we need more trains and seats capacity in Indian market. In my view, all Shatabdhi express trains have to be made 22 coach with LHB AC seaters and expand the capacity as there is already inherent demand for these routes and Shatabdhi trains.

Indian Railways can replace these Satabdhi train rakes when they achieve their codal life and can give order to Coach Manufacturers to replace them. Taking them out is a meaningless exercise.
