headquarters is currently located in Satpura Bhawan, Bhopal. It will be relocated to the Kumbh Mela Authority building in Ujjain. The entire staff, including the director, will be based in Ujjain. The state government has already begun preparations for the 2028 Kumbh Mela, with a budget of 500 crore rupees and assistance from the central government. A 12-department task force has been created to explore new land use options for the Kumbh Mela area. The task force includes representatives from all relevant departments, as well as the Ujjain commissioner, inspector general, collector, and superintendent of police. They are reviewing records from the 2004 and 2016 Kumbh Melas to create a report. The Indore-Ujjain road widening project has been approved, and a ropeway is planned to be operational before the Kumbh Mela. The water resources department is working to prevent contaminated water from entering the Shipra river, and 24 ghats are proposed. The Chief Minister's Office is starting all projects that require a three-year completion time.
