Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the service and announced plans for connecting Gurgaon to Faridabad via Metro. Separately, KSM Bashir Mohammad and Sons was declared the lowest bidder for the construction of the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation's (UPMRC) new headquarters in Lucknow. The new building, located near the Sachivalaya Station, will house an Operational Control Centre (OCC) for Corridor 1 of the Lucknow Metro, which runs between Lucknow CCS Airport and Munshi Pulia.
