The loco pilots demanded the abolition of NPS and UPS in the Railways and the implementation of OPS. They also demanded improvements in engine duty schedules, specifically advocating for an 8-hour duty for freight trains and a 6-hour duty for passenger trains. Other demands included no duty exceeding two nights, provision of toilets in engines, a 25% increase in kilometer allowance compared to DA and TA, a ban on privatization and corporatization in the Railways, and the removal of the restriction on running staff being provided with trolley bags for tools.
