Candidates must have an ITI or Diploma to qualify for the promotion. The railway is actively filling vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilots and Guards as part of the safe train operation scheme. A survey of vacancies for station masters, junior engineers, technicians, and other positions was previously conducted, as the Railway Recruitment Board requested a report on vacancies by category.
