A doctor, Gayatri (25), was traveling on a train from Nilambur to Shornur. She felt a bite on her leg while the train was near Vallapuzha station. She was taken to a nearby clinic and then transferred to a private hospital in Perinthalmanna for further treatment. While the initial suspicion was...

a snake bite, medical tests revealed no venom. The train was stopped at Shornur and the compartment where the doctor was traveling was completely emptied. The compartment was thoroughly cleaned by sanitation workers and technicians. Railway officials suspect a rat bite as the cause instead of a snake bite, as a rat was found in the compartment during inspection by forest department officials. lag raha tha ki snake bite hai, lekin medical tests mein koi venom nahi mila. Train Shornur mein rok di gayi aur jiske compartment mein doctor travel kar rahi thi, use poora empty kar diya gaya. Compartment ko sanitation workers aur technicians ne achhi tarah se saaf kiya. Railway officials ka maanana hai ki yeh snake bite nahi balki rat bite tha, kyunki compartment mein inspection ke waqt forest department officials ko ek rat mila. Compartment ko Nilambur station pe check kiya gaya, jahan ek snake catcher ko bhi bulaya gaya.
