#Reflection.....!!!Morning 12006 Kalka Shatabdi with Unique Livery EOG being reflected on the galvanized part of the track negotiating the Sadar Bazar Curve to enter New Delhi...!!!
About this locomotive: With a Road No 30277 Ghaziabad GZB WAP7 being the first HOG(Head on Generation) equipped locomotive rolling out of #CLW Workshop....known as the "Head on Generation", which would supply electrical power for its AC coaches.
This innovation by the production unit of the Railways will be of use to long-distance AC trains, which have two separate diesel generator power cars to provide...
more... electricity for air-conditioning, lighting and charging points of all coaches.
Feature of this locomotive is that it eliminates the need to have separate EOG(End On Generation) sets for air-conditioning in long distance trains hence providing significant amount of savings on maintenance and running costs. This technology, called HOG or "Head On Generation", transfers electric power from the loco's pantograph to the coaches instead of "End on Generation" in which a Power Car equipped with diesel generator capable of generating adequate power of 3-phase 50-cycle 415V/750V AC (called as hotel load) is provided at either end of the train rake to supply power.
