1. Hubballi Division : SWR Zonal HQ. Backbone of SWR due to huge operation of freights. Highest mps route is BAY UBL section of 105 kmph mps. Having one of the biggest DLS and having railway workshop.

MYS division was created in 1951, followed by UBL division in later 50s or 60s whereas SBC division was carved out of MYS division in 1976. So among the present divisions of SWR, SBC is the newest and MYS is the oldest
