The Railway Minister assured the state government that Vande Bharat trains will be introduced in Uttarakhand, even mentioning the possibility of extending the service to Tanakpur. The Railway Ministry has also approved extending the Vande Bharat train from Kathgodam to Kanpur, although a specific timeline is not yet available. The government has announced plans to increase the number of Vande Bharat trains to 82, with ongoing efforts to increase the speed of trains on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah routes to 160 kilometers per hour.

Government ne Vande Bharat trains ki number 82 tak badhane ka announcement kiya hai, aur Delhi-Mumbai aur Delhi-Howrah routes par trains ki speed 160 kilometers per hour tak badhane ki koshish ki ja rahi hai.
