How is Vande Bharat faster? From SC to TPTY schedule shows 8.5 hrs. If you subtract all stoppage times and acceleration and braking time from existing train Narayanadri SF running time, even that takes same time. Time gain is only by removing stoppages, not by running the train fast. Avg. speed of 78kmph.

There are 18 stoppages and Narayanadri and stops for 45 mins 11 45 - 45 mins gives 1100hts now explain how could acceralation and deceleration save 2.5 hrs for Narayanadri at 110kmph while VB has 130kmph for 266km.

Re# 5681095-3
The train deceleration starts when it's 3km away from station from 100 kmph to 60 kmph when the engine hits PF and halts it takes 3min. Ac eralrion of train from 0 to 110 kmph will take 5mins and 5 km is covered. So total 8km deceleration and acceleration takes 8mins if the trains runs without stoppage then it will cover 8km in 5 mins with avg of 96kmph. So net savings is 3 mins when the train stops in mainline. If it take looping to PF then it has come to 15/30kmph at change over points the travel time increases and net savings will be 5 mins. VB also stops in 4 stoppages so remaining 14×5 70min considering all 14 stops are looped. 11 45 - 45 for storage time 1100 the acceleration deceleration -75 gives 9hr 45mins with 4 stops for normal train with 110kmph ....

VB now takes 8.5hrs and is 15mins early to nellore and another 15 to SC so let's consider 8.15 hrs still VB is faster by 90 mins because of higher acceleration 0 to 100kmph in 60 sec and 130kmph for some stretch. If 130kmph clearance is given to LHB trains in TT max another 30 mins will be saved for GDR Tenali and will cover in 9 15 hrs.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
