Bulletin No. 1:- Diversion / Cancellation / Partial Cancellation of Trains Due to Overflowing of Rain Water over Railway Track Between Gundratimadugu and Dornakal Stations on Account of Heavy Rains
At around 19 15 hrs of today (3rd Sep’2012), It was noticed that water was overflowing on the railway tracks between Gundratimadugu and Dornakal Railway stations due to heavy rains. As a safety precaution, traffic has been temporarily suspended in this section which is part of Kazipet – Vijayawada main line section.
Railway officials have rushed to the spot to assess the situation and to take necessary action. The situation of rain and water flow is being constantly monitored by railway officials in the field and at the emergency control rooms. Train services will be resumed after receding of water flow and after ensuring safe passage only
. Due to the above situation arising out ofheavy rains, train services have been affected on Kazipet – Vijayawada Section as follows:-

E)Additional Enquiry Counters: Additional Enquiry Counter have been opened at major stations on Balharshah-Kazipet-Vijayawada Section and Secunderabad-Kazipet section to take care ofthe enquiry needs of the stranded passengers.
F)Frequent announcements are being made at stations through Public Announcement System to regularly update the public about the train services.
G)Emergency control rooms have been opened at SCR HQ-Rail Nilayam and Secunderabad and Vijayawada Divisions manned by senior officers to closely monitor and take appropriate action as per the situation.
H)Full refund will be given to the passengers of the cancelled trains. Additional refund counters are also opened at major stations.
I)Adequate catering arrangementsare also being made for the passengers of the stranded / diverted trains.
