To be fair, while it has more stops after BPQ in SCR, this train has a higher average speed in SCR (60kmph between BPQ-AKP) than the NDLS-BPQ (58kmph). So, it's not exactly slowing down because of SCR.
Not just newspaper articles, when this train was introduced, there were quite a lot of TV interviews of SCR officials who said that they were ready to bring this train to DVD by 4:30PM, but ECoR was citing PF issues at both DVD and VSKP at this time. And SCR's last major station before DVD is AKP which has only 2 operating platforms, one for each side of the journey. ( There is a 3rd platform but that is...
more... on the VSKP->BZA side and is rarely used for passenger trains and is too short as well). So they do not have any scope to let the train stay idle there and block the PF for all other trains.
SCR went so far as to provide the crew for the initial operations of this train as ECoR didn't bother to do so ( Again, TV and News paper interviews of officials are the source, and it was quite a big issue at that time), it's not really fair to dump the blame on SCR for this train, when it went out of it's way to give up the train to NR and did as much as it could for this train from it's side.
