\**PROPOSED SAWANTWADI TERMINUS**/
Hello all, i got an unclear image of sawantwadi station up-gradation project. I could able to conclude some results from that. Few are as follows:
1. old goods track(@EAST) has been removed and a 12m wide PF is constructed.
2. PF1(old) will be widen to 10m as of now 6m.
3....
more... a new FOB(3m high,2-3m wide will connect new12m PF and 10m PF(old pf1).
4. old PF2 will be dismantled as doubling track(main line2) is overlapping it.
5. loop line is being constructed besides new 12m PF.
6. station is going to have a stabling line between main line1(current) and new loop line.
7. so in future station will have 2PFs with total 5 lines(2main+2loopPF+1stabling).
8. old station building(@WEST) will be dismantled and new building will be formed @EAST side.
9. Entry and Exit road(around 16m wide+4m for parking+12m unused land upto boundary) will be from EAST.
10. a overbridge for vehicles @old railway crossing(madgoan end) will be formed.
11. provision for escalator is made along with FOB.
As per my opinion, they are going to use the current station front space(WEST side) for other utilization(in future).
Up to my utter surprise, there are no pit lines and terminal line PF in the plan, though the project is commissioned as SAWANTWADI TERMINUS.
**Being a wadikar, an engineer and a big fan of Konkan railway, i would like to know the detailed project plan of SAWANTWADI TERMINUS upgradation. So thinking to take help of RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT. I request your opinion regarding the concern.
