Kishanganj,Purnia & adjoining places are very well connected to the rest of the country by NH31 still the single railway track is used for all kind of activities here be it transportation of passenger or goods...Reaching interior Assam is by no other means other than the single railway track...So NFR should be spared for goods & essential transportation to Assam & rest of NE..Bihar should get its due share by passenger trains...But we can see that more than 50% goods train arriving NFR meant for unloading in Katihar div & they rarely reach Alipurduar,Rangiya,Lumding or Tinsukia Div.
