Trains 22551, 22552, 15531, and 15532 will be short terminated at Ambala or Chandigarh on specific dates. Additionally, extra sleeper coaches will be added to trains 14235, 14236, 14207, 14208, 14205, and 14206 on specific dates. Some trains like the Triveni Express and Rajya Rani Express were cancelled due to the block, and other trains were delayed.

The extra coach on train number 14205 (Ayodhya Cantt-Delhi Express) will be available from July 29th to August 4th, and the return journey (train number 14206) will have the extra coach from July 28th to August 3rd. In preparation for upcoming festivals, the Railways will also be running special trains between Mumbai and Punjab. Train number 09043, running between Bandra Terminus and Gorakhpur, will operate until August 27th. The return journey (train number 09044) will run from Gorakhpur to Dahanu Road until August 28th. Train number 05734, a weekly train from Katihar to Amritsar, will run until August 15th, with the return journey (train number 05733) running from Amritsar to Katihar until August 17th. Both these trains will pass through Lucknow.

(12588) arrived in Bareilly nine hours late, while the Delhi-Lucknow Double Decker Express (12584) was delayed by four hours. The Rajdhani Express (20506) was delayed by one hour. Other trains like the Garib Rath Express (12204), Ayodhya Express (14206), Shramjeevi Express (12392), Padmavat Express (14208), Malda Town Express (14004), Suheldev Express (22420), Lucknow Mail (12232), Amritsar-Howrah Express (13006), Kashi Vishwanath Express (15128), Himgiri Express (14524), Ganga-Satluj Express (13308), Kolkata Express (13152), and Janata Express (15120) also delayed passengers. Due to the disruption, many passengers spent the night at the station. Thirteen trains bound for Lucknow via Bareilly were diverted due to the derailment. The Chief Commercial Inspector, Rakesh Singh, confirmed that train services on the Delhi-Lucknow route have returned to normal.

The 15019 Dehradun-Tanakpur Express departing on July 14th will terminate at Bareilly City instead of Tanakpur. Similarly, the 15020 Tanakpur-Dehradun Express departing on July 13th will originate from Bareilly City. To accommodate passengers, a special train (04494) from Delhi to Gorakhpur via Lucknow has been introduced, running every Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday from July 13th to August 31st.
