चढ़ने की जगह पर, प्लेटफ़ॉर्म और ट्रेन के बीच एक कर्व और बड़ा गैप है, जिसके कारण लोकेंद्र का पैर फिसल गया। ट्रेन चल रही थी, इसलिए लोकेंद्र ट्रेन और प्लेटफ़ॉर्म के बीच आ गए और उनका हाथ कट गया। उन्हें रिब, छाती और सिर में भी चोटें आईं। लोकेंद्र को एमवाईएच अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। यह दुर्घटना प्लेटफ़ॉर्म और ट्रेन के बीच के गैप के कारण हुई है। इस गैप के कारण, पिछले 10 वर्षों में 90 से अधिक लोगों की मृत्यु हो चुकी है। कई शिकायतें और निरीक्षणों के बाद भी, यह कर्व ठीक नहीं किया गया है। इससे इंदौर रेलवे स्टेशन की सुरक्षा के बारे में चिंता हो रही है।
