SayanMukherjee 264 blog postsThe last time I had travelled in 22387 was on 29.11.2022. On that day, I found the coach composition to be ENG-SLR-GEN(8)-D1-D2-D3-C1-C2-GEN(7)-SLR. Can anyone confirm the recent CC ??
Been such a long time when I was onboard this legendary train! However the ICF coaches definitely need replacing, hoping that this daily driver is given LHB rakes soon!

Was not able to board 22388 Black Diamond express at Dhanbad Junction because of lack of space. All the unreserved coaches were crowded and no place to stand. No tickets were available in 2S/CC. Had a talk to TTE but he also denied.
Railway should see the problems of passengers and start more trains between Dhanbad and Howrah.

Yesterday bd was having huge rush. My father's ticket couldn't get confirmed and he had to manage in general coaches till howrah. I wonder what is the logic of choosing Sunday as off day for Shatabdi express. IMO it should run daily

Thanks, Hool really slipped from my mind. IMO Hool should be run with more coaches. It will help in reducing the load on BD. BD is still absolutely jam packed till DGR.
Arnab bhai I feel Sunday is a good patronage day for Shatabdi. Many flight bouund passengers would prefer to take this train in both the directions for their day flights from Ranchi and Durgapur and night and early Monday morning flights from Kolkata and Durgapur. Secondly many passengers like my father who had their official programs in Kolkata scheduled on Monday and definitely opt for Shatabdi and reach a night before. Many IT sector Kolkata based employees can travel back to Kolkata on Sunday. The extraordinary rush in BD AC chair car was also because shatabdi was not there to share the load
