This new railway line will improve connectivity to the Indo-Nepal border area, boost the local agricultural industry, and provide an alternate route for trains travelling from North India to the Northeast. The project includes the construction of 9 major and 14 minor bridges, and will have 7 stations: Anandnagar Junction, Maharajganj, Ghughuli Crossing, Parsia Bujurg Halt, Pakri Nauania Halt, Shikarpur Halt, and Pipra Munderi Halt.
