सिग्नलिंग प्रणाली की कमीशनिंग हो चुकी है और यह कार्य करना शुरू कर दिया है। 23.63 किलोमीटर लंबे पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय-सैयदराजा और 13.4 किलोमीटर लंबे पहलेजा-सासाराम रेलखंड पर ऑटोमेटिक ब्लॉक सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम की कमीशनिंग सितंबर माह के अंत तक पूरी हो जाएगी। अभी परंपरागत सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम चल रहा है, जिसमें एक ब्लॉक सेक्शन से आगे की ट्रेन को ग्रीन सिग्नल तभी मिलता है जब पहले वाली ट्रेन अगले स्टेशन पर पहुंच जाती है।

Isse train jaha hain, wahi ruk jaati hain. Automatic block signaling system ke chaloo hone se, ek route pe ek kilometer ke antar pe ek ke peeche ek train chal sakti hain. Isse trains ki speed ke saath saath unki sankhya bhi badh sakti hai. Is system se trains ka location bhi pata chalata rehta hai.

सरस्वती चंद्र ने यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि पहले एब्सल्यूट ब्लॉक सिस्टम (परंपरागत) चल रहा था, जिसमें एक ब्लॉक सेक्शन में ट्रेन के अगले स्टेशन पर पहुँचने के बाद ही पीछे वाली ट्रेन को आगे बढ़ने के लिए ग्रीन सिग्नल मिलता था, जिससे खाली रेल लाइन की क्षमता का पूरा इस्तेमाल नहीं हो पाता था। ऑटोमेटिक ब्लॉक सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम में दो स्टेशनों के बीच हर एक किलोमीटर की दूरी पर सिग्नल लगाए जाते हैं। सिग्नल के सहारे ट्रेनें एक-दूसरे के पीछे चलती रहेंगी। अगर आगे वाले सिग्नल में तकनीकी खामी आती है तो पीछे चल रही ट्रेनों को भी सूचना मिल जाएगी। जो ट्रेन जहां रहेगी, वहीं रुक जाएगी। सीपीआरओ ने बताया कि ऑटोमेटिक ब्लॉक सिग्नल सिस्टम लागू होने से एक ही रूट पर हर एक किमी के अंतर पर एक के पीछे एक ट्रेन चल सकेगी। इससे रेल लाइन पर ट्रेनों की रफ्तार के साथ ही संख्या भी बढ़ सकेगी। स्टेशन यार्ड से ट्रेन के आगे बढ़ते ही ग्रीन सिग्नल मिल जाएगा। साथ ही ट्रेनों के लोकेशन की जानकारी मिलती रहेगी।

Unhone bataya ki pehle Absolute Block System (parampraगत) chal raha tha, jisme ek block section mein train ke agle station pe pahunchne ke baad hi peeche wali train ko aage badhne ke liye green signal milta tha, jis se khali rail line ki capacity ka pura use nahin ho pata tha. Automatic Block Signaling System mein do stations ke beech har ek kilometer ki doori pe signal lagaye jaate hain. Signal ke sahare trains ek-dusre ke peeche chalti rahengi. Agar aage wale signal mein technical khami aati hai toh peeche chal rahi trains ko bhi soochna mil jaayegi. Jo train jahaan rahegi, waheen ruk jaayegi. CPRO ne bataya ki Automatic Block Signaling System laagu hone se ek hi route pe har ek kilometer ke antar pe ek ke peeche ek train chal sakegi.
