This extension also benefits residents of Durg, Rajnandgaon, and Dongargarh in Chhattisgarh, offering them an additional train service for travel to Gondia. Additionally, the SECR has introduced a special summer train service operating nine trips between Bilaspur and Yesvantpur starting from April 30th. This train provides an additional travel option for residents of Bilaspur, Bhatapara, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh, and Gondia heading towards South India. The SECR is also planning to operate 48 more special trains in May to ease the expected passenger rush during the summer holidays.
