Previously, 46 trains were canceled from August 24th to September 9th, and 72 trains were canceled from August 7th to 20th. The cancellations are attributed to ongoing construction projects and have resulted in rerouting and termination of some train services. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal raised the issue of train cancellations in Parliament, highlighting the inconvenience faced by passengers due to cancellations over the past three years. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw responded by stating that the construction of new railway lines is aimed at enhancing Chhattisgarh's capacity and addressing future issues. Despite the numerous train cancellations, freight trains have not been affected.
