The Toofan Express used to be a superfast train back in the day. From 1930 to 1955, Train Number 7/8, the Howrah-Delhi Toofan Express, used to run via Sasaram, Gaya, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Kanpur, and Aligarh Tundla. It would depart from Howrah at 20:10 and arrive in Delhi at 06:23, and depart from Delhi at 20:55 and reach Howrah at 08:36. Then in 1956, the Toofan Express was renumbered as 63/64, and the new route became Haldia-Delhi Toofan Express via Patna, Tundla, and Agra. Even then, its speed was good. It would depart from Haldia at 09:45 and arrive in Delhi at 15:00, and depart from Delhi at 16:55 and reach Haldia at 18:36. Then in 1997, the speed of the 7/8 Haldia-New Delhi Toofan Express was reduced. Train Number 7 would depart from Haldia at 10:15 and arrive in Delhi at 20:20 at night, and Train Number 8 would depart from New Delhi at 09:28 in the morning and reach Haldia at 19:45. Then the destruction of the Toofan Express began. In 1991, the 7/8 Haldia-New Delhi Toofan Express was merged. Train Number 59/60, the New Delhi-Shriganganagar Udyan Abha Express, used to run. Train Number 59 would depart from Delhi at 22:45 and arrive in Shriganganagar at 08:00, and Train Number 60 would depart from Shriganganagar at 22:55 and arrive in New Delhi at 07:20. Then the Toofan Express and Udyan Abha Express were merged to form the Udyan Abha Toofan Express, which ran up to Haldia-Shriganganagar as Train Number 3007/3008. Beyond New Delhi, this train would stop at stations like Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Jakhla, and Bathinda. In this way, the speed of the Toofan Express, a superfast train of that era, was destroyed.

toofan express ek zamane mein bahut suparfaast train thi. saal 1930 se 1955 tak gaadi sankhya 7/8 havda se dilli toofan express waya sasaram, gaya, pandit deendayal upadhyay, kanpur, aaligadh tundla ke raaste chalti thi. 7havda se 20:10 baje chalti thi aur dilli 06:23 baje aati thi, aur 8 dilli se 20:55 baje chalti thi aur havda 08:36 baje pahunchti thi. phir saal 1956 mein toofan express ko number change kar 63/64havda se nayi dilli toofan express waya patna, tundla aagra chalaya gaya, tab bhi iski speed acchi thi. 63 havda se 09:45 baje chalakar dilli 15:00 baje aati thi aur 64 dilli se 16:55 baje chalakar havda 18:36 baje pahunchti thi. phir saal 1997 mein 7/8 havda-nayi dilli toofan express ki speed ko slow kiya gaya. 7 gaadi havda se 10:15 baje chalakar dilli raat ko 20:20 baje aati thi aur 8 nayi dilli se subah 09:28 baje chalakar havda 19:45 baje pahunchti thi. phir toofan express ki barbaadi shuru hoti hai. phir saal 1991 mein 7/8 havda-nayi dilli toofan express ko merge kar diya. 59/60 nayi dilli- shri ganganagar udyann aabha express chalti thi. 59 dilli se 22:45 baje chalti thi aur shri ganganagar nagar 08:00 baje pahunchti thi aur 60 shri ganganagar se 22:55 baje chalti thi aur nayi dilli 07:20 baje pahunchti thi. phir toofan express aur udyann aabha express ko merge kar udyann aabha toofan express bana kar 3007/3008 havda-shri ganganagar tak chalaya karo! nayi dilli se aage yeh train us samay rohtak, jind, narwana, jakhal, bathinda station par thehrav kar shri ganganagar ruktithi. is prakar ek zamane ki suparfaast train toofan express ki speed ko barbaad kiya gaya.
