The Ayodhya Cantt Express also experienced damage, with branches lodging in its angle iron, causing the AC coach's top cover to open. Train operations were immediately halted, with trains traveling towards Bareilly being stopped at stations between Shahjahanpur and Bareilly. Tower wagons were deployed from Rampur, Bareilly, and Roza Junction, eventually resuming service on the down line around 1:30 AM, allowing the Gorakhpur Express and Ayodhya Cantt Express to proceed.
