Ashwini Vaishnaw had previously stated that development plans for the site would be discussed, but no progress has been made. The All Kerala Rail Users Association is demanding a revised proposal, emphasizing the need for better facilities in light of the recent rerouting of the Ernakulam-Bangalore Vande Bharat train due to insufficient parking and repair facilities in Ernakulam. The association urges local representatives to submit a revised proposal by next month to expedite the project.

Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ne pehle bataya tha ki is site ke liye development plans discuss kiye jaayenge, par koi progress nahi hua. All Kerala Rail Users Association, revised proposal ki demand kar rahi hai, Ernakulam-Bangalore Vande Bharat train ke route change hone ke wajah se, Ernakulam Town aur Junction stations mein parking aur repair facility ki kami hai. Association, local representatives se next month tak revised proposal submit karne ka request kar rahi hai, taaki project jaldi complete ho sake.
