The Nangal Dam-Talwara railway line project, costing 2017.96 crore rupees, will involve laying 83.74 kilometers of new track. To expedite its completion, the railway has allocated 500 crore rupees this fiscal year. Once completed, this line will provide an alternative route to Jammu and Kashmir via Pathankot. The Chandigarh-Baddi railway line, estimated at 1540.14 crore rupees, will see the construction of a 33.23 kilometer new track. The government has released 300 crore rupees for this project. This line will provide direct connectivity between Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, fostering industrial growth and creating employment opportunities. The Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beuri railway line project, worth 6753.42 crore rupees, will receive 1700 crore rupees, while the doubling of the Rajpura-Bathinda railway line project, costing 2458.99 crore rupees, will get 99.98 crore rupees to complete the remaining work. These allocations aim to complete pending projects, enhance passenger amenities, and introduce new train services.
