Thick fog engulfed all of Jharkhand, including Ranchi, on Thursday morning, significantly impacting air and train services. Visibility at Birsa Munda Airport dropped to 50 meters, leading to the cancellation of 21 flights. The pilot eventually decided to return to Hyderabad. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Ranchi issued a yellow alert, with scientist Abhishek Anand stating that dense fog would persist until 12 pm on January 19th. Meanwhile, an incident occurred at Gamharia Junction on Thursday evening where an individual was hit by the Utkal Express. The incident resulted in the closure of the Gamharia Junction railway station, impacting train services to and from Ranchi Junction.

laga, par ATC ne landing ki permission nahi di. Aakhir mein pilot ne flight ko vapas Hyderabad le jaane ka faisla liya. IMD Ranchi ke scientist Abhishek Anand ne bataya ki 19 January ko bhi 12 pm tak ghana fog rahega, aur uske liye yellow alert jaari kiya gaya hai. Gamharia Junction pe, Thursday evening ko, Utkal Express se ek vyakti hit ho gaya. Is accident ke karan, Gamharia Junction railway station band kar diya gaya, aur Ranchi Junction se aane-jaane wali trains par asar pada.
