The East-West Metro, also known as Kolkata Metro Line 2 or the Green Line, aims to connect Salt Lake to Howrah, passing under the Hooghly River, with an eastern extension to Teghoria. The extended line will cover 22 km, featuring 17 stations, including 11 elevated and six underground stations.

Iske baad, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC) ne saal ke aakhtak Esplanade se Howrah Maidan tak limited route par metro chalane ka faisla kiya hai aur Sealdah se aage extension nahi ki jaayegi. East-West Metro, jo Kolkata Metro Line 2 ya Green Line ke naam se jaana jata hai, ka maksad Salt Lake ko Howrah se jodna hai, jo Hooghly River ke niche se guzarta hai. Ismein ek eastern extension Teghoria tak bhi hai. Extended line 22 km lambi hogi jisme 17 stations honge, jisme 11 elevated aur 6 underground stations honge.
