This information was provided by the Railway Minister in response to a question in the Lok Sabha regarding restoring pre-COVID concessions for various categories of rail passengers. The government receives requests to restore concessions from various sources, including at the ministry, divisional, zonal, and even station levels. The indigenous automated train protection system 'Kavach' has been installed on three sections of the South Central Zone, covering a total of 1465 km. These sections include Lingampalli-Vikarabad-Wadi and Vikarabad-Bidar section (265 km), Manmad-Mudkhed-Dhone-Guntakal section (959 km), and Bidar-Parbhani section (241 km), equipped with 139 locomotives.
