The existing routes of these trains are: Train number 14224 Varanasi Rajgir Buddha Purnima Express, which departs from Varanasi at 8:30 AM and reaches Rajgir at 6:00 AM the next day; and Train number 22352 Patliputra Yesvantpur Express, which departs from Bengaluru at 1:50 PM and reaches Patliputra at 10:25 AM on the third day. Officials have confirmed the proposed extension to Saharsa and hope it will provide much-needed convenience to passengers traveling between Patna, Rajgir, Kiul, Jamalpur, Munger, and Saharsa.
