A fellow passenger travelling on Train 12445 on 22.07.2011 from NDLS to JAT informed that he got his ticket reserved thru a Travel Agent. His ticket was under FT Quota? Is FT quota means Foreign Tourist Quota.
But, how a Indian passenger can get his ticket confirmed under Foreign Tourist quota?

What details are required to lodge a complaint regarding unhygienic conditions in a train. My experience in travelling in # 12445 was bad and I want to highlight this to concerned authorities.

My fellow passenger was a bonafide Indian passenger and not at all a NRI.
He was not even aware what why FT is mentioned on the reservation chart whenever he books ticket thru his agent. After checking on Google I only informed him that FT means "Foreign Tourist" Quota.

On 22.07.2011 I was to travel from NDLS - JAT by Train # 12445 @ 20:40 Hrs.
As per recent advt. of Norther Railways, advising passengers to reach New Delhi station atleast an hour before the train departure time, I reached the station at 19:30 hrs.

Based on what criteria a Train is provided with a Pantry Car? As Train # 12446 doesn't have a pantry car and the food served is not that good.
Also, the veg meal seems to be overpriced @ Rs. 75/-.

What time the Chart for # 12445 is prepared? Is it 1 hour before the Dep from the Originating station i.e. NDLS?
Nd how the WL of TATKAL quota works. Will I get a confirmed ticket only after passengers who cancellation of confirmed TATKAL tickets?
or even cancellation of GENERAL quota tickets would help me?

Is it advisable to book UHP to NDLS instead of JAT to NDLS. As at present WL is 22 @ UHP and at JAT; WL is 108??

Than isn't it I better that I book E ticket from RMJK - NDLS with boarding at RMJK and I board the train # 12446 at JAT.
