I have an experience while traveling from Jammu to Bikaner in then JAT-JU express.
Us raat Birdhwal Ordinance depot mein aag lag gayi thi aur fir hamari train ke sath mein khel shuru hua. Phle Suratgarh fir vapas Hanumangarh aur fir cancel.
Fir vahan se SGNR - JP MG Exp. mein SDLP tak aaye aur vahan se then BKN mail pakad kr Bikaner.

BKN mail ka TTE bhi ignorant tha aur hamari ticket accept nahin kr rha tha. Tab mobile bhi nahin they ki khol kr news padha dete.

Ek eisa hi kissa he Mahananda express ka (many years back).
I was to travel from APDJ to DLI on 21 Jun and there was no seat in any train except Mahananda.
So, I made 2 tickets of 19 Jun and 20 Jun of Mahananda express thinking that I'll be able to take any one of them atleast on 21.
And...

you know what, on 21, 2 Mahanands departed APDJ of dates 18 and 19 Jun with 1 hour of difference.
I cancelled both the tickets with full refund and got AC2 ticket of 18-Jun Mahananda from TTE inside the train.
Even the TTE was laughing on my condition.
But all in all, if I consider my original travel plan of 21-Jun then I actually departed APDJ ~4 hours early and reached DLI ~12 hours delayed.
Such was the horror of Mahananda then, don't know what is the situation now.

24 Hours to bahut sammanjanak bol diya bhai, 2-3 days to bahut common tha unn dinon.
Aur railway bhi cancel nahin karta tha, chalaye rakhta tha kai kai dinon ke delay ke sath.
Aur iss sare delay ka jimedar NCR tha.

train sirf 4 hours delayed pahunchi thi Mugal sarai, uske baad NCR ne Delhi pahunchate pahunchate use 16 Hrs delayed kar diya.

Thought of sharing an experience of Mahananda express many years back 2012 or 2013.
I was to travel from APDJ to DLI on 21 Jun (not actual date, as I don't remember the actual date now) and there was no seat in any train except Mahananda.
