Total available seats are shown only as 28 and 3 in Tatkal... for a typical sleeper coach there are 72 positions available. Wondering where did the rest of seats go in reservation?

But this is a Slip coach dedicated for Solapur passengers. For Bhsawal/Manmad entire train is available. Why to reserve in Slip coach itself ?

you are right... in fact 50% quota is reserved for Gondia-Nagpur section (GNWL) and 50% for Nagpur to BSL/MMR section....
I wanted to book a confirm ticket from AK- SUR... it was showing waitlisted (RLWL)... but i checked again after reading your answer and found that GNWL still had seats available...
booked a confirmed ticket from ITR to SUR with Boarding stn as AK... thanks a lot for providing a very important hint...

What are the improvements experienced by common people and everyday travellers since Mr Suresh Prabhu has taken over ?
Is there a significant change in the user experience ?
what are the hopes that we can keep with new Railway Minister and Mr Modi ?

I am curious when they will put all 2S reserved coaches back together for this train... whenever I travel in this train it always reminds me of our flawed IR system where CC coaches can be sandwiched in between 2S reservation coaches.... Just becoz some high profile politician who was also serving as Home Minister in UPA govt, was too lazy to walk a few meters and always wanted to have the CC bogie right in front of the SUR station Exit...
still the same thing continues...
Even today when you

have some big gun traveling in CC, vendors and passengers are not allowed to cross CC bogey from D6 to D5 or vice versa...

They could well have placed CC coaches after all the 2S coaches which would mean that CC coaches would come near the Main FOB on Platform 1... but What i heard from railway employee from SUR division that Mr Shinde while travelling from Pune to SUR had to walk some distance on feeet when station was already overcrowded. he was not Happy and hence asked railway officials to change the Coach position of CC coach ....

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
