thus confirmed that GZB-MB work is all complete and hopefully it gets passed by the CRS...time for some kadak bijli action on the high speed GZB-MB route...bahut ho gaya is route pe tel phookna! :-)

possibly the inspection is happening phase wise - say GZB-HPU, HPU-GJL, GJL-MB (something like that). besides they may also be checking if the TSS is integrated properly with the line traction or not, the unwired turnouts properly managed or not, any loose hanging/sagging wires or not, are the wires at sufficient height or not, pantograph contacts proper or not to ensure no entangling happens and the list is endless..most comprehensive check may probably be at GMS bridge...one of the crucial points..

almost entire stretch say 99% completed. The only point missing was last 1 km from Mahrauli to GZB where poles and catenary were set up and wiring was pending. That is also mostly completed. TSS in July at 3 places were pending but work has sped up so much that even they are close to completion. Per information from NR DRM, this section is likely to be energized to 25kV in December but I would say atleast January 2016. Moreover, the most crucial thing pending is the CRS inspection and a couple of trial runs by some WAG 5/7 or a WAP1 like they did on the Haridwar-Laksar section. If that is done then we should see all e-locos taking up NDLS-MB-LKO stretch in a few months to come.

Ran with a major offlink on 10/11/15 (night before Diwali)...it was Andal WDG3A..the combination of green alco with ICF Raj rakes looked awesome...unfortunately was so tired that day that just boarded the train and slept off...so couldn't click any pics..:-(
