Platforms 4, 5, 6 is of SCR in akola. PF 3 is utilised by both SCR and CR and platform 1 and 2 is exclusively for CR. so exact handover point is akola.

Was onboard 06876 Tiruchirapalli Junction - Thiruvarur Junction Passenger train from Thanjavur to Thiruvarur. It was hauled by Ponmalai based WDP - 4D 40339 adorned in green. Took 1 hour 8 minutes for 55 kilometres with an average speed of 49 kmph. Stopped at Nidamangalam Jn for 15+ mts for a crossing with a BOXN goods towards TPJ hauled by twin WAG 9. Else could have taken lesser time.
