Gauge Conversion (GC) for Aishbagh (ASH) - Sitapur (STP) section started from May 2016 with deadline as 31-Dec-2016 which was not realistic hence was given new deadline as 31-Mar-2017 however its well known for Indian Railways that NONE of the projects would have completed on time in IR history (Except couple of exceptional projects) that's why SHAMELESS NER has given new deadline as 31-Oct-2017.

23-Aug-2017 NER DRM Mr. Alok Singh given shocking news that Aishbagh (ASH) - Sitapur (STP) section will not be thrown open for public until Feb 2018 due to shortage of sleepers as well as construction materials. Its very clear now that inspite of many efforts from Railway Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu none of the railway officials are doing their duty for what they are been appointed and more over getting many benefits. Nevertheless Indian Public always been made fool in many forms. As on date we don't know how long Aishbagh (ASH) - Sitapur (STP) - Lakhimpur (LMP) - Gola Gokaranath (GK) - Maliani (MLP) sections people will keep suffering as in current situation Bus and local taxis are only mode of transportation which is really not in good shape.
