Track maintainer averts possible train mishap on Konkan Railway network in Udupi

A potential train accident was avoided on Sunday morning on the Konkan Railway Corporation (KRCL) network between Innanje and Padubidri in Udupi district. This timely action prevented two trains, Train No. 16345 (Mumbai LTT-Thiruvananthapuram Central Netravathi Express) scheduled to leave Udupi at 3 AM, and Train No. 16595 (KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Panchaganga Express) scheduled to pass through the area at 4 AM, from being involved in an accident. KRCL Chairman and Managing Director Santosh Kumar Jha commended Shetty's vigilance and awarded him a cash prize of Rs 25,000. Senior officials including Gopalakrishnan and Mohan from Udupi were also present to acknowledge Shetty's actions.
