Georgetown Loop Railroad, Colorado
We return to Colorado for this next railway line, which runs one of the most historic routes in America. The track was built at the end of the 1800s through the Rocky Mountains, one of the most important mining sites at the time. Suspended more than 650 feet in the air at certain points, the train guarantees superb views of Colorado's scenery.

Death Railway, Thailand
As its name may suggest, Death Railway is one of the most terrifying train journeys in Thailand. Linking capital Bangkok to Rangoon, the track was constructed by the Japanese during the World War II. It didn't actually get its name from the precarious tracks it runs on, but rather from the 90,000 civilians and 16,000 Allied prisoners of war who were forced to construct it.

Argo Gede Train, Indonesia
Our final stop is in Indonesia, where the Argo Gede Train runs across one of the most lush landscapes in the world. On the three-hour trip from Jakarta to Bandung, the train passes over a spectacular valley on the Cikurutug Bridge suspended 1,970 feet above the jungle floor.
