The controllers of Vijayawada division might be of the impression, "Trains with less stops has to overtake trains with more number of stops irrespective of their schedule" . The regular overtake of 2717 by 8047, 8463 and a frequent one of 2738 by 8310, 8510, and now 2727 by 8401 is an example for this. I do not say that the Godavari shan't be overtaken by any other train. But, what is the point of allowing 8401 Puri - Okha which has huge slack between Vijayawada abd Warangal, and a scheduled overtake by 2737 Gowtami!!! In fact, this is the second overtake of Godavari in between Samalkot and Rajamundry by the same train in the last two months. But, the last time, Godavari overtook 8401 after Tadepalligudem/Eluru.
